A GEORGE V 1897 PATTERN SWORD AND SCABBARD BY WILKINSON. An 1897 Pattern Infantry Officers sword with an 82 cm pointed un-sharpened blade with deep fuller and all-over scrolling foliate decoration. Marked to the ricasso 'Wilkinson Sword C Ltd London'. With a three-quarter basket hilt with turned down inner edge and pierced scrolling decoration and George V monogram. With service scabbard and leather sword knot. 102 cm overall. Numbered indistinctly to the back of the blade,probably 61120 which would give a date of 1927 for this sword.
