Nigel Lovett was the son of Alfred Cowdry Lovett, of the Gloucestershire Regiment.
An officer and talented impressionist painter, Nigel Lovett was stationed in Europe, Egypt and Singapore in the late 20's and early 30's. He painted sporting sccenes as well as everyday life, and military themes.
