H.M.Y. Britannia official presentation gangway lifebuoy circa 1953, handpainted polychrome decoration with ship's name and coat of arms to either side. Removed in the 1980s during a refit, age-related cracks throughout. Housed within later bespoke hardwood case with modern ship's plaque to centre. Case measures 36ins. x 36ins. Buoy measures 28ins.
