A late 19th/ early 20th century pine seaman's chest: the rectangular top with tarred canvas cover, enclosing candle box to one side, the underside of the lid with lithograph print ' Bird's Eye View of The Great Suspension Bridge Connecting The Cites of New York and Brooklyn', the body over painted in brown with rope becketts to either side and moulded apron , 47 x 101 x 49 cm.
