An 18ct gold bee brooch by Chaumet (France), circa 1970, the body set with four diamonds, the wings with two cabochon rubies and with ruby set eyes, 3cms long, 5g.

The diamonds are in good condition and appear to have no inclusions. The two cabochon rubies have a few scratches to them, The left ruby eye has some natural imperfections but both eyes are in good condition. There is a CL marked under the left wing, there is a crown and 18 marked under the right wing also there is 'CHAUMET' under the left wing. There is a new image showing the hallmarks. Overall the brooch is in good condition for its age.
