Fine quality deep apricot silk lingerie, 1930’s/40’s: a knee-length petticoat with shoe-string straps, applied with ecru machine lace and self-coloured floral embroidery to the bodice and hem, slightly flared; another similar, with the addition of coloured embroidery worked in French Knot; an apricot silk full-length nightgown trimmed with ecru lace and embroidered with floral garlands, two small front pockets, tie belt, hand turned scalloped hem, matching bed jacket with elbow-length sleeves and front ties (4)
Probably unused, still crisp with good sheen.
