A FRENCH GRAND SONNERIE CARRIAGE ALARM CLOCK. late 19th century, the enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals and alarm subsidiary dial, the 8 day movement with two hammers striking to a bell and repeat mechanism, with strike, silent and quarter lever in base, serial number 5967 to backplate, the case engraved with initials 'S.M.F', with winder, height 17cm inc. handle. *CR Movement seized (does not wind), repeat mechanism working, surface wear to case, cracks to dial, glass replaced to door, minute hand replaced. NB Was last serviced in 1998.
