A Regency mahogany and satinwood strung two-section secretaire-bookcase. 100x242x52cm. The upper section having two glazed panelled doors and four adjustable shelves, the lower having a fall-front revealing a fitted interior with three long drawers below.
Top and bottom are not original to each-other. Some moulding has been removed around the base of the top section to match the width of the lower. The escutcheon on the Secretaire drawer is damaged. One interior compartment drawer handle replaced with a screw.
Some veneer loss, most prominently to the bottom front of the lower section. The strip is present, but detached, as is the one for the left hand side. Various marks and scratches. Split on the right side panel of the top section. Deep scratch on the right side of the base.
