ARR - The Henry & Tricia Byrom Collection - Justin Maurice O'Brien (Australian, 1917-1996) - MARY AND THE INFANT JESUS - watercolour, 16.15 by 12.2ins. (41 by 31cms.), in glazed frame - signed O'Brien lower right & again Mr. J. O'Brien on reverse. Footnote - the present work was probably a preparatory sketch. Provenance - Macquarie Galleries, Strathkyle, 19 Bligh Street, Sydney, Australia (labelled verso), inscribed in ink John Burnet Byrom 1975. John Burnet Byrom graduated as an architect in Sydney and was later employed at Edinburgh University in the 1970's.
