1914-15 Star trio to 234054 W. Gowans P.O. R.N. (L.S. on Star) edge bruise to BWM, very fine or better. With copied service paper, crew list, marriage certificate etc, William Gowans was born in Burntisland 4/9/89, attested as a Boy Bugler 22/6/05. Serve on HMS Cordelia Jan 1915 to Sept 1917, so will have been present at the Battle of Jutland where she was part of the 1st Light Cruiser Squadron, but not heavily engaged during the battle, discharged 4/10/19.
