A VICTORIAN CAMPAIGN AND FIRST WORLD WAR GROUP OF FIVE TO THE ROYAL NAVY. A group of five comprising East and West Africa Medal with Benin River clasp named to T/ Philp, Stoker H.M.S. Philomel, China War Medal 1914-20 with Taku Forts clasp named to T. Philp Lg Sto 2cl H.M.S. Aurora. Great War pair named to 160728 T. P. Philp S.P.O R.N. and Long Service and Good Conduct Medal 160728 Thomas Philp, Stoker P.O. H.M.S. Blake. Thomas Philp was born at Plymouth on the 25th November 1871 and joined the Royal Navy on the 11th May 1891, initially for 12 years. He joined the Royal Fleet Reserve at Devonport on the 20th July 1913. Mounted for display with copied research.
