Quinta dos Roques Touriga Nacional 2010 x12 750ml bottle(s)
A typical Touriga Nacional focused Dão blend, made by ex-maths teacher Luis Lourenco. Consisting of over 40% of their total acreage, Touriga Nacional is Quinta dos Roques' most important grape variety. It is also indigenous to the Dao (not the Douro) and many would argue that it is here where the grape reaches its maximum potential. Dark fruit aromas lead to a structured, serious palate showing tasty blackberry fruit flavors, multiple layers and tannins that frame the wine providing a framework for ageing.
"Deepest elderberry juice. Sweet, dark, spicy and intense. Dry, savoury and mineral on the palate. Much better level of fruit ripeness than on the 2003. Still pretty oaky but lovely dry texture and scented mid palate even though it is so dark and withheld in youth." Jancis Robinson 17.5/20
