A Louis XIV period Bureau Plat, in the manner of André Charles Boulle (1642 - 1732), the rectangular top with moulded brass edge and shell cut corners above a frieze with three drawers, raised on four cabriole legs, each headed with a caryatid, with leaf cast sabots and hoof feet (with some loss and damage), approx. 28 1/2" high x 55" wide (73cms x 140cms). The structure is sound, leather top worn, and parts missing, significant loss and damage of inlay throughout. – See details images provided.
