A William Ault majolica jardiniere and stand in the manner of Christopher Dresser, later 19th century, of typical form decorated with overlapping shell motifs, the jardiniere with relief moulded maker's mark and impressed model number 517 to underside, 25cm high, the stand 55cm high, 80cm high overall (2)
The jardiniere shows a loss to the rim approximately 7cm wide, two descending hairline cracks (one near full length, the other half length, and fine surface crazing throughout (stained to the interior). The stand shows fine surface crazing throughout (stained in places).
