£320
A pair of continental porcelain vases in the manner of Meissen, 19th century, each of urn form, the shoulders set with two putti among floral encrustations, the body with four reserves painted with a courting couple and representations of the arts, hunting and agriculture, the spreading foot on square base, the domed cover with fir cone finial, gilt highlights throughout, painted mark to base, each 47cm high (2) (at fault)
One cover shows a repair and a loss to the rim. One pair of putti show glazing faults to the backs - the location of these putti prevent the cover from sitting perfectly flat. Both vases show losses to the floral encrustation. The bodies of both vases are loose on their bases and require adjustment. Both vases show age-related surface wear and rubbing to the gilt highlights.
