G Armenaki (active late 19th Century), Pair, Camel racing, Giza, and Arabs hunting, signed oils on panel, 20cm x 30cm
The camel racing painting has some flaking issues mid lower half of the image; also on the rear camel bag. There are inexplicable marks, for example, underneath the same camel is a smear of paint or dirt which seems to have little relevance to the image.
Similarly in the other painting there are lots of black spotting, particularly in the upper parts of the picture. There are mount marks on the right hand side plus a slither loss to the panel. There is some inexplicable white spotting bottom right corner. There are horizontal cracks which correspond with with the panel beneath. There is some crackeleure, both signatures are clear. Both pictures are in modern gilt moulded frames which are in a presentable condition.
