We note 1819 & 1820 ELs to New York, both charged 2/2d via Falmouth packets "Fox" & "Queensberry", 15 Mar. 1841 E ex Philadelphia to Manchester via Boston & Liverpool carried by pioneer steamship "Britannia" and having oval "AMERICA/L" h/s rated 37½, Jul. 1846 EL ex New York to London via Liverpool endorsed "p. Great Britain" charged 8d and backstamped with hexagonal greenish Liverpool Ship mark, 4 Sep. 1851 EL ex Bristol to Philadelphia by packet "Europa" charged 96c with h/s "76/CENTS" indicating amount due to GB, etc. alongside circular "Br.
