JAMES MCCABE OF ROYAL EXCHANGE, LONDON: A 19th Century fine quality silver cased pocket watch, the enamelled Roman dial with spade hands and Subsidiary seconds. The chain fusee movement with maintaining power and duplex escapement, turned pillars. Cut temperature compensated balance with diamond endstone, pivots for the escape wheel and fourth wheel on mainplate are set in chaton bearings. Movement signed James McCabe, Royal Exchange, London, dust cover also signed and no. 10504.
