A singing bird Automaton within a domed gilt cage on a gilt wooden base, believed to be by J Lory of Paris, the bird having metal beak, glass eyes and natural feathers, standing o a dressed naturalistic perch, 22in H
The bird sings and moves with moving head, beak opening and tail feathers dipping. Some misplaced feathers and gilt rubbing. Probably early 19th Century.
