A hallmarked silver George III John Bettridge propelling pencil case. The case topped with carved paste intaglio of a gun dog having a turned shaft with propelling slide. Hallmarked Birmingham 1824. Makers mark IB for John Bettridge. Weight 11.9g. Measures 9.2mm. The slide mechanism moving however this has not been tested with a pencil.
