Obverse: English shield within a wreath of olive and palm leaves, sun mintmark above and '· THE · COMMONWEALTH · OF · ENGLAND ·' around. Reverse: conjoined English and Irish shields with '· II · VI ·' above, date (1652) at the top and '· GOD · WITH · VS ·' around. Weight: 15.06g. Diameter: 36mm. Grade: F - centrally struck flan with centres struck slightly weakly, surface crazing apparent under strong magnification, otherwise Fine and better in parts.
