1651 Commonwealth hammered silver Shilling, EF for this issue and scarce (S 3217, North 2724). Obverse: shield within wreath of palm and laurel, sun mintmark and 'THE COMMONWEALTH OF ENGLAND' around. Reverse: twin shields with '· XII ·' below the date (1651), 'GOD · WITH · VS' around. Weight: 5.98g. Diameter: 33mm. Grade: EF - Extremely Fine with a full flan, minor stress cracks from a historic crease, very few scuffs or scratches, the hatching detail clear, strong details and much eye appeal.
