Gable (Clark, 1901-1960, Actor). An original pencil caricature of Clark Gable (initialed J. Hodson), signed 'To James Hodson, Best Wishes Always, Clark Gable', sheet size 11.5cm x 15cm approx., This was drawn by James Hodson when he was a young teenager in the late 1930s. He would draw various caricatures of celebrities and politicians, then send them in the hope of getting the subject to sign and return the caricature. He was obviously a very talented young artist which many celebrities of the day were happy to oblige his request of a signature.
