Collection of Silver and White Metal Thimbles including:
1. Henry Griffiths Sterling Silver Thimble. Birmingham 1905. Punched top with a wide band of leaves.
2. Green jade dome. Marked as Sterling Silver and with James Swan maker's mark.
3. Silver dome with blue enamel sides carrying rose design. Marks on inside of dome. Birmingham 1978 James Swan.
4. Daisy decoration border. Marked sterling, 9 and, in the dome, with the fouled anchor mark of Stern Bros of Philadelphia, so believed to be made c1890-1908.
5. Rim of medallions and flowers. Inside dome inscribed with S in shield for Simon Bros, and sterling.
6. Marked inside dome 'Sterling' with Ketcham & McDougall makers mark. Punched dome with ornate gold band.
7. Stamped 'Sterling' in dome along with the Ketcham & McDougall makers mark. Punched top with one plain band, one decorative band and a patterned rim.
8. Imported, possibly Portuguese. Decorated with scene of stork and baby. Marked on side 925 and on top of dome with 1987 London import marks and MG and SA for Martin Gerald and Syd. Adler.
9. Possibly Portuguese silver. Decorated with an owl with green stone eyes - has traces of gilding.
10. French. Decorated with lilies of the valley embossed on rim. Marked on rim with interlaced LS, mark of P Lenain and provincial mark of a crab.
