A fine antique Persian Teheran prayer rug, 'The Entrance to Temple', with wine coloured ground, mihrab arch over a hanging basket of flowers above three floral decorated columns and vase of flowers, blue upper corners with scrolling decoration, dense foliate borders, one wide and four narrow, 215 by 140cm. Provenance: The Estate of Mr Joseph B. Hay, son of Major-General Arthur K. Hay DSO OBE - 100 years of a military family.
