The fifth generation Mercedes SL was in production between 2001 and 2008. The all-new SL, initially just a 5.0-litre SL 500 version, featured a retractable hardtop, marketed as the Vario Roof, available on the SLK since 1997. This featured a 5.0-litre 302 hp V8, with a 5.4-litre AMG Supercharged V8 appearing in 2002's SL 55 AMG. V12 engines are available in the SL 600 and the limited-production SL 65 AMG and the SL 350 3.7-litre 18-valve V6 245 hp in some markets.
The 2006 Mercedes 350SL offered here is described by the vendor to be in superb condition and a stunning looking car. This is a full facelift model with a huge spec, with many extras including Radar Distronic, Parktronic, Linguatronic, keyless entry/go, wood and leather steering wheel, orthopaedic/massage pulse seats, 7 speed auto trip gearbox, Xenons, cornering lights, Bose sound system, heated front screen, remote boot opening/closing and Burr walnut. This is a special order car with beige leather.
The car was recently serviced with new pads 1,000 miles ago. It has been maintained regardless of cost, with 9 stamps and drives superbly with no faults. All books are included with the car.
