Early Kashan carpets rank as one of the finest of all Persian carpets. The city of Kashan was the centre of fine rug weaving during the 16th century Safavid period and some of the best classical pieces are attributed to it with high quality superior quality pieces being woven at the end of 19th century and early 20th centuries.
This elegant Kashan carpet bears the signature of a well-known Master weaverâs workshop, Isfahanian which created top-end Kashan rugs of its era.
