**This original 1965 Fender Stratocaster has transitional features, including a green guard, which were phased out from January 1965. The neck features clay dots, a feature that was phased out in late 1964, with only a small number seen on very early 1965 examples. This guitar features a Jan 65 neck stamp and with both these transitional features in place, will be a rare example of a 65 Strat to feature both clay dots and a green guard.
