Mid 19th Century German Cavalry Breastplate


heavy steel breastplate with raised centre line.  Steel breast studs for shoulder strap attachment.  Lower sides steel hooks to support the waist belt.  Edge holes for securing the lining.  Right side stamped with maker "Braun".  Chest with bullet strike dent.  Steel now with dark patina.
