A rare scarlet faced sabretache with broad silver lace border displaying padded silver embroidered crown over LYC cypher, below a tripart padded scroll embroidered PRINCE ALBERTS OWN. Complete with wallet and three D shaped suspension rings and three loose slings and buckles one set A/F ... Accompanied by a companion pouch and pouch belt, the pouch bearing original paper trade label of Hamburger & Co. 36 King Street, Covent Garden. and tailored to accommodate six cartridges. The scarlet faced flap with broad silver lace border displaying padded silver embroidered crown over LYC cypher (threads AF), below an embroidered PRINCE ALBERTS OWN padded scroll. Complete with crimson Morocco leather backed silver lace pouch belt. GC
The Regiment gained the title Prince Alberts Own on 20th February 1844.
