A large Victorian walnut rectangular writing box, hinged cover enclosing an inset tooled and gilt leather slope, inkwells and compartments, outlined throughout with brass stringing, 50.5cm wide, c.1860
Some brass banding missing from cover and front. Damage to the inner slope. Some losses. Ink wells not original. Please see attached images for further analysis.
