Attributed to Jan Wijnants (Dutch, 1632-1684) An extensive wooded landscape with riders on a path and dogs in the foreground, farmhouse, village and harvest fields beyond oil on canvas 100 x 122cm For a similar figure group in a Dune-like landscape by Wijnants see Christie's London, 4 Dec 2013, lot 101. The unusual rounded paddock in front of the farmstead in the present picture also appears in a sketch by Wijnants in the collection of the Teylers Museum, Haarlem (acc. No. Q 54 - 1846).
