IMPERIAL AIRWAYS - CRASH MAIL: 30 Sept. 1937 damaged env. from Jerusalem to Germany carried on the "Courtier" which crashed in the sea at athens, on reverse a "Armtlich verschlossen" label and violet "Aus veruglucklem Flugzeug/durchn asst gerborgen." h.s.; 25 Nov. 1937 "ex "Cygnus" env from Brisbane to London with boxed violet "DAMAGED BY SEA/WATER hs and on reverse "(f)ound open or damage/and officially secured" label; 25 Apr. 1939 env. recovered from the crash of the Challenger with relevant hs and label; and 8 June 1939 env. from Sydney to London ex crash of the Centurian with red "SALVEDGED MAIL/EX "CENTURIAN" hs and on reverse a large "G. Crown R./OFFICIALLY SEALED IN THE/RETURNED LETTER SECTION/LONDON POSTAL REGION" label. All with usual crash mail faults. (4)
