Distinctive pink ground top lid section with black transfer, ‘ DR DOSTEELS/FOR BEAUTIFYING & PRESERVING/ THE TEETH & GUMS/ CHERRY TOOTH PASTE. Impressive large central pict. image of Queen Victoria, ‘trade mark’ & crown each side. Three pin head nicks from the very bottom underside where lid rests on top of the inside of the base, & a little bit of rusting - as dug (in the 1970’s). The base has 3 inside chips - not visible when lid is on. Remains one of the UK’s all time ‘classics’. AMENDED 2/7/20: Underside egg shaped curving sector - see last close up image. Dropped the estimate, there to sell, displays fine, should bleach out OK?
