An incredible original oil on canvas painting titled "Ladschaft" or "Landscape" by the Polish artist Janusz Olszewski (b1944) dating 1779. Features a highly textural work rendered with thick impasto brushstrokes featuring a wooded landscape with stream to centre. The highlight of this work the application of paint which elevates an otherwise still landscape to a dynamic and energetic scene.

Olszewski is a postwar Polish artist who worked with his wife Anna in specialising in post-impressionist and thicly textural landscapes and still lives. He is known as one of the most important contemporary landscapes artists in Poland, and has had over 70 solo exhibits in Europe, USA and Japan.
