Accompanied by a Gem & Pearl Laboratory Sapphire Report, stating that the natural sapphire is of transparent blue colour, origin opinion of Sri Lanka and no evidence of heat treatment was observed. Report number 11236, dated 9th May 2015. Along with a facsimile purchase invoice for the ring, dated 1945, and an insurance valuation document dated 2015.

The sapphire is a deep cornflower blue with three very small central internal feather inclusions along with typical 'silk' and fluid drop inclusions, only visible with a loupe. The diamonds are bright and lively. The mount only has very light wear considering the age. Overall in very good condition.
