Blackmore (Richard Doddridge (1825-1900). An original manuscript letter, signed by Richard Doddridge Blackmore, dated 5th July 1888, letter reads "Dear Sir, I have no favourite book and have always declined to tell further my literacy tastes in any of the magazines, though often asked to do so. Thus demands for such 'execrations' appears to me to be a childish one", 9cm x 14cm approx., letter tipped-in onto card for display purposes. Blackmore was an author most famous for 'Lorna Doone'.
