A VICTORIAN SILVER NOVELTY PLAYING CARDS BOX
by Samuel Jacob, London 1899, in the form of a sedan-chair, the sides stamped with foliate scrolls and latticework, with two pairs of scroll handles, the hinged cover opens to reveal two compartments for playing-cards. 6cm high, 2.6 troy ounces (excl. playing cards)
The marks are clear. The hinged cover opens and closes well. One handle requires straightening. It is engraved with initials and the date 1875-1900. In generally good condition.
