A FINE PERSIAN KASHAN CARPET, c.1950, hand woven in the city of Kashan, North-West Iran. This city is historically known for its carpet weaving, since the 16th Century. Material: Wool, hand woven over a nine to twelve-month period, with a knot density of 350-360,000 knots per square metre, dyes all natural derived from pomegranate juice, madder, cochineal, walnut skins, henna and wood bark. Condition: Good. Size: 383cm x 292cm
