An early Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Leica IIf Rangefinder camera in chrome finish, serial number 571059, manufactured 1951-52 (believed to be first year of production), fitted with a Summitar f=5cm 1:2 lens, serial number 796207, manufactured 1950, with lens cap, in fitted leather case
The exterior of the camera shows wear commensurate with age and use throughout. The rangefinder appears to work, but focussing is somewhat stiff. The shutter appears to function, but speeds have not been tested. The Leica lens cap fits well but may be a later addition. When looked at under magnification the lens appears to show some small imperfections.
