George Bartle, Brigg, a late Georgian crossbanded and inlaid mahogany eight day longcase clock, the 13" painted arched dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, hunting scene to the arch, the movement striking on a bell, the false plate by Walker & Hughes, Birmingham, Corinthian columns to the hood and pagoda top pediment with brass ball and spire finials, one missing, key, pendulum, two cast iron weights, one 12 one 13, height 213cm.
The dial making partnership of Walker & Hughes in Birmingham lasted from 1812-1835.
