POSTMAN'S GPO ARM BANDS, ETC.: Pair of GPO circular Arm bands c.1860(?) one with "POST OFFICE/GPO/POSTMAN" the other with "TELEGRAPH/GPO/MESSENGER" worked in brass wire mounted on red cloth with black cloth backing (some decay to straps & felt). Also a more modern small "GPO" canvas (letter?) bag marked "BARNSTAPLE" and "BISHOP'S NYMPTON"), and marked under flap with boxed "GPO/[crown]/1952". Unusual and seldom seen items. (3 items)
