A GWR cabside numberplate, 7231, from a 7200 Class 2-8-2T rebuilt in December 1935 from a 4200 Class 2-8-0T No 5266 built at Swindon in March 1926. It spent most of its BR days at Newport Ebbw Junction before moving in 1962 to Barry and later Radyr and Llanelly from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 3 October 1964 and sold for scrap to Steel Supplies (Western) at Swansea.
