A BEAUTIFUL LATE 19TH / EARLY 20TH CENTURY FRENCH SILVER JUG, by the marker Edouard Ernie, who was located at 7 Rue Réaumur in the French capital Paris from 1882. The stunning little jug is decorated all over with floral and foliage design, the ebonised wooden double scroll handle is held in place by a pair of roundels, and the interior is a bright gilt colour; all sits upon four pad feet with foliage detail. Dimensions: the jug is 8cm tall, 9cm including the handle; handle to spout is 10cm, 6cm wide at the widest, 4cm wide at the top. Condition; in excellent/perfect condition; good clear maker’s mark and French silver fineness mark as photographed. 3.079 troy ounces including handle.
