The Automobile Owner and Steam & Electric Car Review, 1907/8 & La France Automobile 1900/1902. Four quarto volumes, each with an index, handwritten by Bryan Goodman, at the front of the volume. The Automobile Owner comprises the monthly issues from Vol. 2 No. 1, February 1907, to Vol. 3 No. 10, December 1908, very well illustrated with numerous monochrome photographs and advertisements, in clean and sound condition, bound in black cloth (a little rubbed and marked, the blank free end-papers very creased), with gilt lettering to the spine. La France Automobile, which is sub-titled Organe de l'Automobilisme et des Industries qui s'y Rattachent, is in three volumes with home-made card covers and paper labels (a little worn), comprising the weekly issues from Vol. 5 No. 59, 29 Septembre 1900 to No. 72, 29 Decembre 1900 ; Vol. 6 No. 27, 6 Juillet 1901 to No. 52, 28 Decembre 1901; and Vol. 7 No. 27, 5 Juillet 1902 to No. 52, 28 Decembre 1902, with a 7-page Numero Special: Les Ateliers de Dion_Bouton from Vol. 3, Juin 1898, bound in at the rear. The issues are all well illustrated with monochrome photographs and diagrams, and all appear to be clean and sound. Together with various manuscript and typed files and what appear to be crossword references and article ideas. For example, a Bunny Tubbs folder, Anecdotes of the Lanchester Brotherhood, V.C.C. Filler Articles, Identification Marks on Cars, 1920s loose pages from Automobile Engineer, relating to engines and chassis, and other folders. (Qty)
