Oil on wooden panel in good untouched condition, possibly a very slight outward bow to the panel, paint looks a little dirty, one small pinhole mark near the top right corner, other smaller scattered dirt spots, signed, dated and inscribed near the grass on the right, under glass in an ornate and probably original gilt gesso frame. Provenance: Christie's December 1958 Lot 113, Christie's 1959 Lot 40; Sotheby's 1962 Lot 203 as Near Brussels, A sandy landscape and Sotheby's 1963 Lot 173 as a Landscape with peasants on a sandy bank by a stream.
