WW2 medal group and Prisoner of War letters & photographs from Corporal S Coombes of the Royal Army Service Corps. An interesting collection of 70 letters from T/35097 Corporal Stanley G Coombes of the RASC whilst in captivity during WW2 covering the period 4/10/1941 until 18/2/1945 addressed to his daughter Miss Eileen Coombes. The letters come from him as Prisoner No.2972 at Stalag XVIIIA. A149/L, Prisoner No.1482 at Oflag III C (Kriegsgef.-Offizierlager III C) and Prisoner No.2972 (1482) M.-Stammlager 383. Together with 12 original photographs (with some enlarged copies) of him and some taken inside the camps during the war, and his mounted WW2 medal group.
