A Charles I documentary walnut side chair, by repute formerly in the ownership of Charles I, bearing an old brass plaque with the engraved legend "This Chair Belonged To King Charles I and was presented to Mr Thomas Cochrane (1st Lord Cochrane of Cults?) by HRH Prince of Battenberg", with scroll carved upright terminals a mask carved top rail above stuff over velvet upholstery with barley twist back and underframe, 50 cm wide x 50 cm deep x 112 cm overall height, 52 cm height to the seat. . A private Kentish collector The chair is fragile but intact and supports its own weight standing as intended but, shouldn't be relied upon to bear a person's weight given its age.
