A WWII Second World War Japanese Officers foot locker / trunk with personal effects belonging to one Captain Takashi Kageyama of the 1st Imperial Guard. Contents comprising his tunic with insignia, trousers, belt, service cap with cover and badge, bread bag with name, water bottle, binoculars, boots, saki cap, notebook, paybook, and a war flag (yosegaki) signed by senior NCO's and enlisted men under his command.

Captain Kageyama was born on the 5th December Meiji 42 (1909) and took his oath to serve the Emperor 2nd December Sowa 5 (1930). It is assumed that this trunk was a certified War trophy taken by the late Cpl M. Marshall of the 97 th (BM) Provost Unit during the Burma/Malayan Campaigns as there was a sword found with the trunk that had a release slip dated 1945 stating that he could keep it as a War Trophy.
