A FIRST WORLD WAR WAR MEDAL TO A CASUALTY WITH THE ROYAL SUSSEX REGIMENT. A Great War War Medal named to 4-1585 Pte W.S. Tizzard R. Sussex R. Private William Stanley Tizzard from East Grinstead in Sussex embarked on the 8th August 1915 for the Balkans, he served with the 1st/4th Battalion and is also recorded with number 200181. He was killed in action on the 29th July 1918. His body having been found at Oulchy Le Chateai now lies in a grave at Raperie British Cemetery Villemontoire, a concentration cemetery. He was 21 years old, he was entitled to a 19154 Star and a Victory Medal.
